Natural-Edge Redwood Coffee Table

This large slab of redwood has beautiful figure on both surface. The client, nor I, could decide which was the best, so it is reversible! The beautiful board was fire damaged with most of the natural edge charred with   some punky-wood areas that also needed hardening, but was essentially stable. The base is two units which can be moved independently to fit under the top as it is flipped from either surface (a two person job, of course). The sculpted and stained alder wood bases mimic mangroves.

Material: Redwood, alder, stain. Dimensions:  (h x w x d) 82"x 36"x 22". Year made: 2013
